It's finally here. The show Steve checked for screeners Daily. also it happens to be our 100th episode. cool.
Dollface, with Shay Mitchell, Kat Dennings, and Little Esther! We didn't get Becca's opinion in time for recording, but post recording she watched it and enjoyed it.
Not sure what else we have to say, it's Dollface! no show has been better suited for this podcast. Enjoy!
It's here, the road to 99 is complete, to celebrate we are finally discussing Star Wars Episode One! Wait what? not the Jar Jar movie? The Disney Plus show The Mandalorian? And not The Man, Delorean? The story of John Delorean, who invented the delorean?

Who Watches the New Shows? We do, especially when they'res about comic books. And when they're from a co-creator of Lost. Rarely has a show been more up our alley than this one.
We dive in and try to answer some of the questions from the pilot. Revisit the comic book and go off on some great tangents.
Join us as we complete the final step on the road to 99 episodes. Also do we manage to not crossover this show with Lost? stay Tuned!

Yes that's right. Chris's wife, Becca, last heard talking about The Act (our most popular episode) is back to discuss one of her favorite shows, Downton Abbey. with the new movie upon us, it seemed right to dig back to 2010 and re-watch the first episode of Downton Abbey.
Plus Crossovers, and other shows that follow from the sinking of the Titanic. (Historical Boats?)
Wait episode 526? Well yes and no, while NXT has been around for years as part of the WWE Network, it's now moved to USA, while being bigger and better! The episode one podcast is here to talk about it!
With special guest Emily Pratt (@emilyofpratt) we dig deep into the history of NXT, why it's now on USA, and how it fares as a third night of wrestling?
All that plus developmental leagues for other tv shows? You got it, on the Episode One Podcast!
Episode one ain't nothing to mess with.
It's part Straight out of Compton, Part the Wire. Wu-Tang: An American Saga is the latest Hulu exclusive we got a screener for and we're excited to share our thoughts!
Recording in the same room for the first time in months, the road to 99 is getting serious!
Plus a serious take on Crossovers and 30 second pitches for once.
Reboot-a-rama We have to admit, this one snuck up on us. We had heard the rumors, but didn't know it actually got made!
Steve and Chris were both avid Beverly Hills 90210 fans, and grew up with the show. We both even watched some of the 90210 continuation on CW. So how does the reboot proper hold up?
Excuse Chris's cold and Steve's temporary mic, still a great episode, and as always 30 second pitches and crossovers!
This week we look at the new series based on another Garth Ennis comic, The Boys. On Amazon Prime, this show takes a dark look at Super Heroes. Superheroes? Dark and Cynical? That's what we do best!
Dive in with Chris and Steve and see how deep the show goes, and if it can overcome it's cynicism enough to be likable (spoiler yes)
Also can we cross over The Boys with Girls? Of course we can. Plus 30 second pitches!
It was always destined we'd get here. It feels like a long time ago, we used to say we'd watch Veronica Mars, but we hadn't thought of it lately at all.
C'mon now sugar, join us as we bring it on and talk about Steve's first exposure to the world of Veronica Mars, and Chris brings his experience catching up with Veronica Mars for the movie back in 2013.
Just remember us when you get the 58 minute mark and we dive back into most of the shows we've covered in 2019 and talk about which shows we've watched more of, and what our thoughts were.
We're settling back into a biweekly-ish schedule, and we should be bringing you The Boys soon!
Special treat for everyone this week. Chris and Steve take a look at Historical roasts on Netflix with returning guest Eddie Furth, along with his partner in Roasts, Ryan Pigg!
We did have a bit of technical difficulties and lost a few minutes of audio. But the good news is we managed to save Eddie and Ryan's unfiltered thoughts on their next it series: "Historical Boats!"
We still managed to hit our normal questions and did crossovers and 30 second pitches with Eddie and Ryan, we hope you enjoy this "Very Special Episode" and we look forward to bringing you our 88th Episode Spectacular soon!
Another week, another World War II themed show on Hulu! This time it's from Germany, but premiering in the US on Hulu.
So, Steve and Chris tried to fine a way to do this episode all in subtitles, to stay true to the show... but they just don't work in Podcasts! Regardless, a show with a great cast, including not nearly enough of Lizzy Caplan in the pilot. Das Boot was an unexpectedly fun ride, and we encourage you to come along with us on it.
DIVE! DIVE! DIVE!
Christina Applegate? Linda Cardellini? Dead Husbands? sign us up!
A fun show, as this time we have a unlikeable yet likeable antagonist who's not fully the antagonist? And while fun, it's a show about grief, processing grief, living with grief and recovering from grief. But at it's heart it's still a comedy.
We had a lot of fun talking about this show, and recorded it directly after watching.
And as always, 30 second pitches and crossovers!
Directed by and cameo-ing George Clooney, the most famous novel a lot of people have never read comes to Hulu as a mini-series.
We tried for a long time to come up with a good Catch-22 for our intro and we failed. We also couldn't think of one for the show notes. But some great discussion of how the current generation of writers/creatives that came up through the persian gulf/Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts differ from the WW II and Vietnam eras of the previous generations. We also talk about whether the show "works" on screen versus print.
We also do crossovers and 30 second pitches. Join us!
This time Steve and Chris finally catch up on some anthology shows from April.
The reboot of the Twilight Zone on CBS All-Access, unfortunately it's pilots is no longer available for free on youtube, but you can catch a free trial for CBS All-Access basically anywhere. And what "pilot" did Steve and Chris get for Love Death and Robots? And does it tell you anything about our hosts?
All this plus Anthology 30 second pitches, and crossovers!
Chris and Steve got a screener for Ramy, so why not pair it with Abby's featuring their favorite: Natalie Morales, no the one from Middleman!
Abby's is a unique show with a fascinating pedigree, can it live as a mid season replacement to get to season 2?
Ramy is a genuine delight and surprise, another single camera show in the vein of Louie and Master of None
All this, plus 30 second pitches and Crossovers!
Steve and Chris are joined this week by Donna Letterese (@drawdvl) expert on all things Pretty Little Liars (and teen drama as we learn). To discuss the PLL spinoff: the Perfectionists!
Steve is so excited about this episode that he'll barely even let me finish writing this descrip...
We dive deep, Chris finally finds someone to discuss Dawson's desktop with, and as always, 30 second pitches and crossovers.
We hope you enjoyed the premiere of What we do in the Shadows as much as we did, when we got to see it a week early! Special thanks to The Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Hollywood and Uproxx, Chris and steve got to see a special preview of the pilot for this new mockumentary TV Show.
Produced by Jermaine Clement and Taika Waititi It's a television adaptation of their cult hit 2015 film of the same name.
How good is it? Does it lose anything in translation? How long did Chris think this was going to be a drama? Are there Twilight jokes?
All this, plus crossovers and 30 second pitches on this week's Episode One Podcast!
In this very special Episode One Podcast, Chris and Steve go through their handpicked top 32 shows from the Episode One Podcast and pick a winner, bracket style!

A very special guest this week. Mentioned on almost every episode of the pod, but never seen. Chris's wife Becca!
She Joins chris and Steve to discuss The Act, a new original true crime series from HULU. Featuring a fantastic cast (Chloe Sevigny, Patricia Arquette, AnnaSophia Robb and Joey King). This one gets creepy! but is very well acted.
So does this show surprise? what compelled Becca to come on the pod to discuss it? And what do you crossover a true crime series with?
All this and more on this week's Episode One Podcast.
Chris and Steve are back! But we didn't really go anywhere, we were just busy!
To make it up to you we've got a 2 in 1. We take a look at the new (ish) Hulu Show PEN15, come relive your Junior High days with us. And another comic book adaptation (our specialty) The Umbrella Academy. But it's more than just a comic adaptation, it mixes alt-rock, comics and Ellen Page!
